Which direction does the course go? Clockwise or CCW? Are we going up the stairs or down?

I guess it doesn't matter to me since I won't be there, but just curious.

I bet it goes CW since the map shows the course on the stairs. It would make sense that we would be going up the stairs and not down. If we go up the stairs then the map shows a CW course. Right?

Jason,
The course will be run clock-wise. Of course it goes UP the stairs... This is 'cross after all!

I just thought that down the stairs would be more interesting, especially for those geeks with the cross bikes. This is "ArcticCross" after all...

Nick,

I just realized the map indicates CCW in about 2.5 font size - which would mean that we would be running down the stairs. So are we running down the stairs, or climbing them?

Hey Jim do you like how we were at the wrong park section on Sunday??? haha.

Anyway for anyone who has not had a chance to ride this route yet....All I have to say is UP....Down...UP...Gasp....Down..Up...I think I am going to DIE....Down for a second....Oh no is that Goose POOP.....Just Breath...OK finally straight FLAT....OH NO UP AGAIN??? You Mean STAIRS??? :) ...aaarrrgggg...Pant Pant...Oh yes I am going to the After Life up these stairs...Just follow the light.

But besides that it is a fun TRUE Cyclocross Race with the potential of having several STEEP LONG Run Ups.

Oh what a fun course. I predict those who will do well will have high power/weight ratio, can do endless run-ups, deal with slippery (rain and g.s.) off-camber grassy sections and have great immune system (darn those geese!).
