ArcticCross #2 Results Posted!

Congratulations to everyone who came out today - great job! Special thanks go out Daniel Folmar and Kristin Wilkinson for their help today with the timing. Thanks, guys!
Tiffanie Novakovich blazed the course to outdistance Nylene Wicks on a twisty, serpentine route featuring some tricky, off-camber riding and a mega run-up approximately 10,000 steps (or at least it seemed that way during the race). Deenie Roberts rolled across the line to take third place.
Adam Miller had the race under control but biffed it on the afore-mentioned off-camber riser to the finish line. Jamey Stull rode around him and over the finish line with a grin on his face. Spectators say it was an epic battle, featuring several lead changes. Carey Grumalot finished out the race in third place.
Bob Cox outpaced the Master category men to take overall honors. Rebecca Mamrol and Brendon Turrey won the Junior Women and Junior Men categories, respectively.

ArcticCross #1 Results
The first race of the ArcticCross series was held today at the Abbott Community Park and featured a record-setting turnout. The race featured a technical course that tested the handling skills of race participants. Nylene Wicks steadily pulled away from Amber Stull to place first among women. Brad Cruz dominated the Master Men category, completeting 11 laps to outdistance Bob Cox, who placed second. Adam Miller was never threatened as he put the hammer down on the Open category men. Cary Grumelot crossed the line in second with Jeff Warner rounding out the top three.
Hats off to Andy Pohl! He finally returned to racing today after overcoming injuries sustained in a bike crash earlier this summer. He put in a solid effort and breezed the course in style.
While complete results are not yet available for the number of hamburgers eaten, we believe James Stull gradually ate his way to the front after consuming over seven hamburgers to win the Picnic category. Congratulations Jamey!

ArcticCross #1 to feature picnic!

The ArcticCross race committee will be providing all the fixings for most excellent grilling after the race on Saturday. As many people know, a proper post-race meal should include a healthy dose of protein, so we will be providing hamburger patties, buns, and condiments to grill after the race.
If you want to bring anything else to share, bring it with you! The Abbott Loop Community Park off Elmore Rd. has a great picnic facility and pavilion, so make sure to stick around after the race.
